Submit maximum 2000 words of prose or 1000 of poetry.
 
Beta reader will provide feedback as to structure, appeal (does this grab the reader), and mechanics (grammar, spelling, pacing). In the case of poetry, meter will be assessed as appropriate. A qualitative estimate of how much work the sample needs to be publish-ready will be provided to the author.
 
Authors may send an outline of the entire work for reactions to the story arc if desired, but this is not required.
