Get a Grip on Marketing

If you want to get a grip on marketing your books I suggest you do the following:

1.  Get a grip on your computer or your phone.

You don’t have to be a computer genius but you do have to know how to point and click and copy and paste and type in a message. If you can do that then you’ve got it made.

I do everything on my phone. Everything. I speak into it to write my books, communicate on messenger and Facebook, and check things online. What better way to keep up on things than your phone?

2.  Another way for you to get a grip on your marketing your books is to start doing promotional things to show your book and your face off.

You would be surprised at how many authors go to book signings and they have nothing to give the venue to promote their event. What you want are business cards, flyers, banners, tablecloths with your invitation on it, outdoor signs, and anything else that you can think of. Don’t leave home without them!

3.  A huge way to get a grip on your marketing is to talk to people, and more people, and MORE people. Get a grip on your networking skills and enlarge your circle. You would not believe how easy it is to strike up a conversation with someone about your book or your project that you’re doing and have them take a little or a lot of an interest. And then they have people that they talk to and share your information with, and then there’s no telling how far reaching your words will go! They say the average number that one person shares a piece of information with is nine other people. You can’t afford not to open your mouth and speak about your book.

4.  Get a grip on a marketing consultant. You can hire a consultant who kind of knows what they are doing or kind of knows about promoting and marketing a book.  Or you could hire someone like me for FREE! My consultations include a package of a good 30 hours a month of marketing advice and ideas that you can either do yourself or have someone else do for you.

5.  Get a grip on my phone number, which is 231-869-2469.

6.  Get a grip on my calendar and set up an appointment with me at no charge to you!

7.  Get a grip on my website that will give you all kinds of information about who I am and all of the services I offer.

8.  Get a grip on my name. Google it. You’ll find me there under lots of links!

9.  Get a grip on your trust issues. Yes, you may have been burned once or twice but that doesn’t mean there aren’t good people out there that will help you achieve your goals. I am one of them!

10.  Did I say give me a call?

Get a grip. I promise you it’s worth it.
