Perception in Selling

PERCEPTION IN SELLING

Why do authors not want to sell hardcover books that they have published?

Perception. It’s all in perception. Just about everyone reading this  believes that it’s the cost that reflects the actions of the author which is true of everything else that goes into creating and publishing a book.

I’ve been in sales and retail and marketing for 40 years and have learned it very well. And I’d like to share my thoughts on the matter.

If the perception of the salesperson is that no one will buy a hardcover book at the higher costs that you have to put the book at, then no one will buy it.

If you believe that there are people out there that want hardcover and will pay the extra money for it and you believe in it with all your heart, you will sell it.

I sell hardcover books all the time. People love them.  It’s all in perception.

I teach a class about this very thing and how you can learn how to change your perception and make more money.

I know sales and marketing inside and out and I’d be glad to share with anyone who wants to learn.

Just PM me and we’ll set a time to talk. I’ll also leave my online calendar here for anyone who wants to pick a day and time to call me. I look forward to it.

Sales is a very fun career.  And if you are an author, you have automatically become a salesperson.

It’s all in the perception.
